Arm Balancing – The FUNdamentals

Join Andy and Tamara Totman of Vinyasa Yoga Arts for a 2 hour workshop breaking down the bio-mechanics involved with the most popular arm balances, such as bakasana (crow/crane), parsva bakasana (side crow/crane), eka pada koundinyasana (hurdler’s pose), and titibasana (firefly).

A proper understanding of alignment and bandhas will allow you to create a sustainable practice with integrity, while reducing the risk of injury. This workshop will include a condensed vinyasa flow to warm up key parts of the body; a breakdown of anatomy and plenty of time to explore the most popular arm balances in depth.

We will also explore a series of wrist therapy techniques that will relieve stress and develop strong and healthy wrists, which are a major component of arm balances.
